Ask Jo Linsdell Some Questions

Introducing Jo Linsdell!

Jo Linsdell is a good friend of mine so I could probably post a whole lot here but, seeing as she is the queen of social media, I will take some time to only post what you can find on Author Central through Amazon:

Born in Gillingham, Kent (UK) in September 1980. Married name Joanne Denise Feliciani. She uses her maiden name, Linsdell, as her pen name. Having passed 10 GCSE's, she went on to study Business Studies, History and Art A-Levels at Yateley 6th Form. She left England and moved to Rome, Italy in June 2001, where she now lives with her Italian husband and their two young sons.

She has had various jobs including working in hostels, being a tour guide and teaching English as a foreign language. She now works full-time as a freelance writer. She writes regularly for various websites, newspapers and magazines.

She has published three books in print 'Out and About at the Zoo', 'Italian for tourists' and 'A guide to weddings in Italy' as well as various ebooks.

I'd also like to add that she is the organizer and host for a yearly online event called Promo Day, which is an online conference for anyone in the writing industry- you can find out more about that here.

She is also currently on her Virtual Blog tour to celebrate the release of her newest book Fairy May! You can check out her tour here!

Tell us something interesting about yourself that is not in your Amazon author's profile.

Your author's profile says, "She has had various jobs including working in hostels, being a tour guide and teaching English as a foreign language. She now works full-time as a freelance writer." So basically you telling us that you became a writer because you couldn't hold a job? (I'm just teasing you) but seriously tell us what prompted you to write your first book?

You have two young sons. Are they the impetus for your two children's books - "Fairy" May and "Out and About at the Zoo"?

What was the hardest thing about writing your most recent book "Fairy May"?

What have you learned about the writing process through working on these books?

Whatâ??s Next For You As A Storyteller? What stories are you working on at the momment or are still bouncing around in your head?

I have a question. From what I've read above, you are the "Queen of Social Media." First of all, what is it like to be Queen? Second, do you have any tips for using social media from you point of view as an author?

In my first book, Marge gets reunited with her Italian lover, so my question is do you think Italian men are great lovers? I know its kind of a personal question, but I noticed that it says you married your husband in Italy who is Italian. (RuthieLovesJesuysDerby)

Your book Fairy May is about a tooth fairy. What gave you the idea tow rite about the tooth fairy? Do you still believe in the tooth fairy?

How much do you read yourself? Are you an avid reader? What is your favourite genre?
Have you ever encountered writers' block? If so, what is your strategy to overcome it?

Sometimes at night I'm startled by grand illusions and characters, but before I can describes or chat with them they run away and call me rude names. Do you think i should change my diet?
